Sustainable Coffees

The Cambridge Coffee Club invites you to its inaugural meeting themed, "Sustainable Coffees".

The club is a platform to learn about coffee. Our idea is to link coffee drinkers with coffee growers and to create awareness about processes that go into making the cappuccinos and lattes that we casually grab on our way to work.

Our first meeting will explore the economic and environmental sustainability of growing coffee through conversations with Cafe Julienne, who will talk about their work with small-scale growers in Rwanda and Arshiya Bose, a PhD student at CU researching biodiversity & coffee in India.

We will provide you with a cup of sustainable, speciality Arabica coffee from Rwanda as well as something to nibble. This will also be a unique chance to sample civet coffee from India. This is the first time civet coffee from India is being brewed (anywhere in the world!).
